After raising a Series B and expanding internationally from their UK HQ, HungryPanda needed to hire a VP Finance to support the continued growth across the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand. This VP Finance would be part of the company’s leadership team and be responsible for creating a best-in-class finance function supporting long-term financial strategy.
Requirements
The successful candidate would be accountable for global finance and bring a background in building and mentoring finance teams internationally. Ideally this person would have operated in fast-growth, logistically-complex businesses and be a data-driven decision maker. The preferred candidate would have operated as part of a business leadership team and have led short-term and long-term financial strategies. There was a strong preference for a diverse group of candidates at shortlist stage and ideally the candidates would be able to communicate in Mandarin.
Result
Erevena successfully introduced Julia Baker. Julia, who studied at the Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, started her career in Beijing before learning her finance trade at Shell and BP. She then relocated back to China with Amazon, where she was based in Beijing. In her most recent role she worked as VP Finance for PrinterPix as they scaled internationally.
