Let’s Do This was launched in 2017 with a vision to build the dominant global platform for offline experiences. The first vertical is mass participation sports events, where they are now the global leader. Their mission is to inspire more epic experiences than any other community on the planet by the end of 2025. They were the fastest growing company on YCombinator and have raised investment from EQT Ventures, NFX and angel investors such as Usain Bolt and Serena Williams.

As Let’s Do This continued to scale rapidly, there was a clear need to bring in a VP Product who would be responsible for delivering a delightful experience that inspires the user. This leader would work with the founders to crystalize and communicate the product vision and roadmap to get there. They would lead operational excellence and rapid execution across product management showing exceptional people management capabilities and a passion for mentoring.
Requirements
The successful candidate would have been the first product leader in a company and helped them to achieve product market fit. They would have demonstrated an ability to scale product and tech operations in a rapid-growth environment whilst demonstrating an obsession for the user experience that would promote repeat experiences across the platform. They would have ideally had experience in consumer marketplace technology companies. There was a need to provide a diverse shortlist of candidates for this role to ensure Let’s Do This continue to build as well-rounded a team as possible.
Result
Erevena identified and introduced Grant Smith to Let’s Do This. He was the first Product leader in Deliveroo where he led the delivery and scale of their first app and was instrumental in scaling the product and tech team to over 300 people and scaling volume on the overall platform by over 30X. He is focused on customer experience and is proven at bringing best-in-class product leadership. Grant started with Let’s Do This in October 2020.
