Beamery is the leading Talent Operating System and backed by the likes of Index Ventures and EQT Ventures. It was recently ranked at number 10 in the 2020 Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50. Over a four-year period, Beamery grew 3,541% which therefore ranks it as the fastest growing enterprise software company in 2020.
The Product team at Beamery had done of building a category creating product for the Talent CRM (Candidate Relationship Management) space. Its next phase was to continue to evolve the product to give HR and Business leaders the tools they need to manage relationships with prospective future hires and become more proactive in their approach. A key decision for Beamery was to hire an experienced Chief Product Officer to lead the rapid growth of the team and business while nurturing a strong one-team culture.
The business today has a small but growing team in Product, Design and Data Science. Erevena was tasked to find a modern and scaled CPO who had the experience of building out a multi-disciplinary Product organization and operating as a member of the Executive Team. They needed to understand how to build products in a new category, aimed at Enterprise customers.
Scott started with Beamery in June 2020. His entire interview process and on-boarding was done remotely with a couple of socially distanced park walks! He had learned his Product Management craft with PayPal in California building their B2B capability before moving to the UK. Since arriving in the UK he has held CPO roles at Starling Bank and more recently with TransferGo.
This was our third search with Erevena and in a function that is notoriously difficult in Europe. In Scott we found a great Chief Product Officer, he has applied his experience of building world class, autonomous product, user research and design teams, and has been able to combine our vision as founders and couple it with the market sentiments to set a product roadmap that will position Beamery as category leaders over the next 2 years and beyond. Erevena produced a diverse shortlist and we were able to close out with Scott quicker than we were expecting. All in all we felt it was a great experience.
