Erevena are delighted to announce that Hazel Mulhare has joined as a Partner to focus on the increasing demand for executive talent in deep tech venture-backed companies.
Hazel was most recently Principal and Head of Talent at Oxford Sciences Innovation (OSI), a £615m fund backed by the likes of Google, Tencent and Sequoia which invests in technology and science spin outs with IP from Oxford University. OSI invests in ideas from the maths, physical, life sciences; medical sciences; computer sciences and engineering divisions, often investing in a technology at the pre-team stage. Hazel worked with academic founders and entrepreneurs-in-residence to build founding teams. She also advised OSI portfolios on their executive hires and built out an advisor and non-exec network.
“We are delighted to welcome Hazel to Erevena; she brings fantastic experience in placing executives in deep tech start-ups and will further strengthen our team at Erevena. Deep tech has the potential to act as a catalyst for substantial change to the world. Commercial applications based on these scientific innovations can take much longer to be market ready and require substantial investment in product development; in terms of time, money and vitally specialized talent.”
